CONFIRMED! INDIA VS PAKISTAN IN BANGLADESH SERIES

India to lock horns with Pakistan in Emerging Cup

There has always been an intense rivalry between India and Pakistan irrespective of the sport. Quite recently, India defeated Pakistan in the visually impaired World T20 final and defended their title for the second consecutive time that made the entire nation proud.

It is said that the Asian Cricket Committee Emerging Cup contest is scheduled from March 15 to 26 on the outskirts of Bangladeshi towns. Overall, eight teams are going to take part in the One-Day International competition which sees the nations like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh (hosts), Afghanistan, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Nepal.
India and Pakistan have already met each other way back in 2013, that saw India getting the better of Pakistan in the final, courtesy Manish Pandey who led the side to an emphatic victory. But this time, we can expect a tight competition from both sides and a one-sided game between them can only turn the fans down unless the players give an equal proportion of efforts right from the word go.
On talking to The Indian Express, MV Sridhar said “Yes, India would be sending a team to the tournament. It’s an ACC tournament and so we would go there. This is not a bilateral India-Pakistan series, and so this is different,” MV Sridhar added.
The emerging players such as the U-23 players should take the responsibility and bolster the attack in their respective departments. According to the terms and conditions, each team can have four national players who can also be experienced campaigners.
With the combination of seniors and some juniors into the team, it shapes the competition a little more interesting in what is a chance for the talented lads to bring out the best in them.
The Emerging Cup which is held in Bangladesh gives a massive opportunity for the nations that are part of the upcoming Champions Trophy 2017 which is to be held in England and Wales scheduled between June 1 and 18.
